A Nationwide Process Serving Company
Assist Process Serving is a professional process serving company operating throughout England and Wales. We support solicitors, legal professionals, public bodies, support organisations and individuals who need legal documents served with a clear, practical and responsive approach. Our nationwide network includes more than 90 experienced process servers, helping us arrange service across a wide range of locations.

Process Serving Company
Instructions may involve family, civil, housing or insolvency-related documents. This includes protective court orders, claim forms, statutory demands, divorce papers and witness summonses.
Some matters are urgent or sensitive. We handle every instruction carefully, review the information provided and work with you to identify the appropriate next step.
Process Serving with a Social Purpose
Assist Process Serving is part of the National Centre for Domestic Violence CIC.
Income from our process serving work is reinvested into the wider mission of supporting survivors of domestic abuse. This gives our work a clear social purpose while maintaining a professional focus on the practical service of legal documents.
Not every instruction relates to domestic abuse. We support a broad range of legal professionals, organisations and individuals across England and Wales.

Professional Service of Legal Documents
Assist Process Serving can arrange a process server for a wide range of family, civil, housing and insolvency-related documents. Select the service you need to find out more about the process, likely information required and available service speeds.
We also offer trace enquiries at an additional cost where an address or location requires further investigation. Assist Process Serving does not provide legal advice. If you are unsure which document is required, how it should be served or what action to take, please speak with your solicitor, the court or another relevant professional.
A Careful Approach to Sensitive Legal Matters
Assist Process Serving has particular experience in arranging the service of Non-Molestation Orders, Occupation Orders and other injunctions.
These documents can arise from difficult personal circumstances. Our role is to arrange service professionally, discreetly and with respectful communication throughout the instruction.
Where service is needed urgently, standard, priority and same-day options are available. The appropriate option will depend on the document, service address, timing of the instruction and any relevant court directions.
We do not provide legal or safeguarding advice. Anyone who needs advice about a protective order, their safety or the wider legal process should contact their solicitor, the court or an appropriate support professional.

Clear Instructions, Responsive Service
We keep the process straightforward from instruction to completion. The suitable method of service can depend on the document, court rules and any directions in the case.
- 01.
Review the instruction
The team reviews the documents, address details, deadlines and any relevant court directions. Useful background information can also help us understand the circumstances of service.
- 02.
Arrange the appropriate service level
Standard, priority or same-day service is selected according to the instruction and required timescale.
- 03.
Make the required service attempts
A process server attends the address and carries out the agreed service attempts. The office keeps you informed of progress where appropriate.
- 04.
Provide supporting documentation
Once service has taken place, a statement of service is issued. Electronic service may be available where applicable.

Additional Enquiries Where Appropriate
Some instructions require more than an address and a set of documents. Where appropriate and permitted, Assist may be able to make additional enquiries to help identify useful information before service is attempted. Trace enquiries are available at an additional cost where an address or location needs further investigation. Depending on the circumstances, we may also assist with:
- 01
Police checks
Where formal agreements permit
- 02
Prison checks
Including identifying an HMPS location or prisoner number where possible
- 03
Probation-office liaison
Where appropriate
- 04
Discreet contact enquiries
To help gather location information or arrange contact with an agent
These enquiries do not guarantee that a person can be located, contacted or successfully served. Each instruction is considered on the information available and the options that may be appropriate.
The ASSIST Programme
The ASSIST programme provides authorised UK police officers with secure access to relevant Non-Molestation Orders, Occupation Orders, injunctions and proof-of-service documents.
This may help officers view or securely obtain relevant documents when responding to a potential breach. Authorised access is available 24 hours a day.
Access is restricted through registered police email domains, secure login processes and time-limited access.

Stay Informed with Legal Updates
Our team regularly publishes articles on important legal developments, industry trends, and practical advice to keep you informed and prepared.
